Hanging lights

Every christmas me and some of my other siblings help my Dad put up his christmas lights. It is a tradition we have done since we were little. Every year we would have so much fun being goofy and trying to get on my dad's nerves. My brother Joel (when he lived in Utah) decided that he was in charge and that he was the big boss man. So every year if somebody wasn't getting the job done Joel would tell them that they were fired. It has become a tradition now. Even though Joel lives in Houston we still call him and ask if we can fire somebody if they are slacking off. I think my sister Christy has been fired the most. Us kids have been making fun of my dad for years because he likes to hang the lights by using duck tape. As you can see in the picture it looks really pretty. One of the things I like to do is try to embarrass my mom and dad. This year I decided to wear a goofy outfit. I found this sweet mickey mouse christmas sweater in my mothers closet and I just had to wear it. If you ever are looking for entertainment around christmas time come to the Jorgensen house while we are putting up the lights.

Happy Halloween

Jason and I wanted to wish everyone a HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!!! Jason, myself and my two nieces Taylor and mikaela at Gardner Villiage.

Vegas Baby!!!

Jason's favorite mini vactation place is vegas. Any time we want a quick cheap vacation Jason picks to go to vegas. Over the fall break Jason and I went to vegas with one of our closest friends Joe and Bianca. While we were there we ate at Jason's favorite resturant Del Friscos. The food was awesome!

We had a great time sitting by the pool, eating, shopping (my favorite), and watching Jason and Joe attempt to win at the tables. We also like to people watch while we walk the strip and take pictures with the really cool painted peole. While walking the strip we saw a cool billboard that Jason and I decided we could pose just as good as (picture below). I think that we could do some modeling professionally ha ha. When we were getting ready to come home on Sunday I got a call from my family telling me that our trip to Cabo was canceled because of a hurricane. Luckly we were able to re-schedule the trip for the first week of Dec which will be fun because we will be there on my birthday :) Stay posted for more pics from Cabo

Def Leppord and Pink Floyd Concerts

For Jason's birthday we went to the Def Leppord concert. It was one of the worst concerts that I have been to. Jason and I went to their concert two years ago and it was awesome so we were so disappointed when this concert wasn't that good. We actually left the concert a couple of songs early. At least we didn't spend that much. The next month we went to the Aussie Pink Floyd concert. They put on a sweet show. If you haven't had a chance to see them in concert it is well worth it.

Funny story... While we were waiting for Def Leppord to come on after poison we were just sitting on the blanket enjoying the night. This group next to us asked me to take their picture for them. When I was done taking the picture I looked up the hill to see this crack head guy about 70lbs with his shirt off and his arms all bandaged up from drugs in a wheel chair heading down the hill out of control. Jason was lying on the blanket with his eyes closed and he had no idea that this freak was heading straight for him. I hurried and handed the camara back to the group and then I jumped on the blanket to get Jason out of the way. I wish I had a picture of this guy going down the hill out of control. It was the funniest thing I have ever seen. The guy ended up ramming into the back of some other guys leg.

Summer Vacation

Jason and I decided that for our summer vacation this year that we wanted to go and visit some of our family and friends. We started our trip by flying to Pittsburgh Penn then we drove to Washington D.C. after which we flew to Houston Texas were we ended our vacation.

-Pittsburgh: Jason's really good friend Paul Johnson lives in Pittsburgh with his wife Amanda and son Andrew. We started our trip by flying here and staying with his friend for a couple of days. While we were there we road this tram that over looked the whole city. We went shopping and Amanda showed us some great places that we don't have in Utah. Then we all drove together to D.C. on the way to D.C. we stopped and visited Gettysburg. When we were there we knew that we didn't have much time to spend because we were in a hurry to get to D.C. so we decided to ask somebody how we could tour Gettysburg quickly. Jason and Paul asked this old worker guy how we could visit the site quickly and just see some key sites in less than 40 mins. The guy was so offended that he told us "cross the street and look at that statue and that is about all you have time for." As we were walking away we heard him tell another tourist "those teenagers think that they can see this place in 20 mins... it takes all day." Needless to say we saw all the cool spots of the site in less than 40 mins.

-D.C.: Jason and I only had one and a half days to spend in D.C. so we had to cram it all in quickly. Jason has two friends that live in D.C. Jeff Jensen and his wife Alisha and his other friend Steve Archibald. We didn't get to spend much time with them but it was cool to see them again. When we pulled into D.C. we only had time to do one thing before we went to dinner with his friends so we all decided to go to the Spy Museum. I can't speak for Paul and Amanda but Jason and I thought that it was a complete waste of $36. It started off a little cheesy and it was a little long. There was some cool things though. The next day we started early and spent the whole day walking around D.C. It was really cool to see some of these sites in real life. My favorite thing was the Lincoln memorial. We also went to the Holocaust Museum which was really amazing but also long. I would love to go back some day and be able to see all of the things that I didn't get a chance to see.

-Houston: The last stop on our vactation was to Houston were my brother and his family live. Jason and I had all sorts of complications getting to Houston. Our plane left the airport 40 mins late because right before the pilot took off he forgot to get gas so we had to turn around and gas up. Then when we got to Houston we flew around in circles for 30 mins because the weather was too bad to land. After awhile the pilot decided that we better fly to Baton Rouge and get more gas. So we flew 30 mins in the wrong direction just to get gas. We sat there for about an hour then we finally took off to head back to Houston. When we finally landed the flight that should have taken 1 hour and 20 mins took 4 hours. It was the longest day of my life. By the end of this trip I was so sick of flying. The next morning Jason and my brother Joel left at 4am to go deep sea fishing. The weather was a little bad that morning but the boat still went out. When the boat was far enough out that you couldn't see any land at all they hit a really bad storm. Jason said it was like the movie "The Perfect Storm". They said the wave were about 11 feet high. The boat was rocking and hitting each wave really hard. Jason loved it... he said it was like being on a roller coaster. So needless to say they didn't end up fishing that morning. The rest of us met the boys in Galveston. We all played on the beach for a few hours. After that we decided to go crab fishing. I caught the two biggest crabs and I think Jason got the record for catching the smallest one. When Jason was fishing he was all excited and was screaming "Guys I think I have a really big one" then when he pulled it out of the water we all started laughing becuase it was the smallest one of the day. I really enjoy visiting my brother and his family. He has the cutest little boys that I wish I could see more.

-Coldplay Concert: The last night in Houston Jason and I went to the Coldplay concert. Coldplay is my favorite band. We went to their concert last year in Utah but I love them so much that I wanted to see them live again. The concert was amazing. During the middle of the concert they left the stage and came to play a few songs in the middle of the crowd. We were about 10 feet from where they played. At the concert we had this guy who was about 55 years old and about 280 pounds in the row in front of us. He was almost as entertaining as the concert. He had sweat all down his back. He was the biggest spaz ever... he would swing his arms back and forth really fast with a poster in his hand and scream "Coldplay" the whole concert long. Jason and I had a lot of fun at the concert and on our vacation but by the end we were ready to go home and sleep in our own bed.

Aunt Aflac and camping

Jason and I went camping with my family for a couple of days up AF canyon. Right when Jason and I pulled up to the camp sight I noticed that I left my bag with everything in it at home. Of course there is no service to call any of my siblings for help. So Jason and I had to drive all the way out of the canyon just to get serves. Thanks Christy for your help!!!

My brother Joel and his family were in town for my sister Mandy's wedding. His two kids (Jace is to the left of me and Jaeden on the right) call me aunt aflac. Last time they were out visting Jaeden was asked what a duck says and I told him a ducks says "Aflac". Jaeden thought that was hilarious and he continued to say it the rest of the trip. That was over a year ago. For the past year I have been known as Aunt Aflac. The whole time they were out the boys would call me aflac. I have come to face the fact that I will be known for the rest of their lives as Aunt Aflac
